Getting a Grip: HP 9807A Integral PC
Date: 1985
The HP Integral PC (model 9807A) was a “luggable” workstation, meaning that it was designed to be carried from place to place but needed to be plugged into an AC power outlet to operate — it did not have its own battery. It did however have a graphical user interface, Hewlett-Packard’s first electro-luminescent display (instead of a CRT) and a built-in printer, which was a popular feature in desktop PCs at the time.
