Making Memories: 7900 and 7970 Drives

The 7900 disc drive (shown here in the top righthand section of the 2100 computer system) and 7970 tape drive (in the center of the righthand side) were the first memory products in their respective categories that Hewlett-Packard developed specifically for use in Hewlett-Packard computers.
