The Black Functional Managers Network
Date: 1988
By the 1980s, the Black functional managers network that began in the previous decade had grown more sophisticated and, while still unofficial, was gaining recognition in company publications and becoming an effective voice in discussions of minority policies and practices at HP. The network’s members also kept up their work mentoring and supporting Black employees. From left: Aaron Kennedy, Bess Stephens, Tony G. Coleman, Claude Robinson Jr. and Alice Morrison of the Black functional managers network.
